I don't want to mail them until december 2012 or january 2013 for my march 2013 wedding, but I found a great deal with the perfect theme for my wedding plans. we have the date, time and reception hall booked with a deposit paid. I'm confident nothing can change and our guest list is finalized. Can I order, so I can coordinate the save the dates and the invitations all at once or is it way too soon to order? I'm wondering if there's anything I'm overlooking in ordering this soon.
thanks!

Re: Too early for invitations?
i think you should be ok if you know all of your ceremony/reception info already...

Re: Too early for invitations?
As long as you have the ceremony and reception times finalized I don't see why you can't order them now.

If you have everything booking (church, reception) and have all the times I think you can definitely order them now.

Re: Too early for invitations?
How are you going to do the addresses for the invitation envelopes?
if you aren't getting them printed with the invites then I see now reason, but I know that my guest list changed a lot since we started out and a lot of the people who didn't get STD's changed.

I would double check all the times with your RH before printing, and don't address them yet. Even close friends who will def be invited might move.

I agree with the above. If you LOVE the invitations and are ABSOLUTELY sure about the theme and color scheme and direction that you want to go with your wedding.. then I would go ahead and order them. But, I would also keep in mind that because it is some time away.. you may want to change your mind on certain things & already ordered invitations that don't fit with your new vision.
If you are absolutely 100% sure.. then go right ahead!

I agree with everything above! If you are def on the time, place, amount of people (make sure to order extra anyway) and all that jazz...order away...
Also, something i believe firmly is that it's NEVER too early for anything involving the wedding...

Just make sure you order enough invites - FH pushed for us to order ours pretty early, and we did, thinking our guest list would be much smaller than it wound up being. We ordered extra, thinking we had plenty and wound up barely having enough - we literally have ONE extra - which I'm very glad about because I want to keep one.

Yea order extra!!! We ended up 20 people over our original invite list...and that was all in a matter of a few months. So make sure you have extra

Re: Too early for invitations?
Thanks, ladies! I did order some extra.
In case you're interested, here are the proofs!
They're from annsbridalbargains.com and they're the separate-and-send kind. Typically, it's the invitation, RSVP card and Reception Card, but since our reception is in the same place as the ceremony, I replaced the reception cards with STD cards.
We're having a 'lovebird' theme with a green and white color scheme.

Re: Too early for invitations?
how sure are you that you will not change your mind a year from now? do you usually feel confident in your first choice?

Re: Too early for invitations?
I'm confident, because we're being more cost-conscious than anything, so I could never justify re-doing them just because I didn't like them. Plus, I love them!

Re: Too early for invitations?
February 2 is an early RSVP
And I'd make the time half past two o clock
If you love them, go for it. Order enough and don't be hasty...make sur all the info you want is on the, etc
