My FH and I went to a videographer last night. Video Gold in Carle Place....He does incredible work...it blew me away!! He gave us a quote for $2500...do you think that is too much?? Has anyone used him? His name is Joe?

Never heard of him. What does he include for that price? The package we are getting includes 3 DVDs, 2 VHS, Raw footage on VHS, all day coverage, fully edited, brides house, ceremony, reception, bride sequence, groom sequence, love story, and recap. We are paying $2200 for video so it is in the normal range I think. My friend is using LCA studios and paying close to $4000. Now I think that is crazy. But if you have the money go for it! Definitely check out more then one video vendor before you decide. We saw 5 before we made a decision.

Hmmm... I would tend to think that is a bit too much. But again, it depends on what your getting.

Our package would include deluxe editting, opening titles, photo montage with invitation, coverage of ceremony, cocktail and reception, special affects including animation, music soundtracks, highlight ending (recap), honeymoon photo montage 3 dvd's and 1 mini tape with the recaps on it What do you think?

I am paying $2000 for my video and it basically comes with the same stuff you guys listed. I think its alot of money but it is the only way to truly capture what goes on at your wedding. Just go for it!

I've never heard of them- but we are paying $2500 plus tax for ours. - that includes three fully chaptered dvds

We have seen his work as well, he is a house vendor for Chateau la Mer. His work is incredible, but I agree, a little pricy...

His work is excellent..but a little bit expensive. In my opinion, it is worth the extra $$.

We saw him at our halls tasting... their work is unbelievable!! We are paying $2200... its not that unreasonable but I guess it depends whats included. If I remember right he didn't put a lot into the packages...

I think that's an average rate. Ours is going to be 1250, but they're giving us a special rate, because we're using them for photography as well.

That sounds about average, maybe a little over but if you like them and their work then it's probably worth it.

I just got married on October 29th and used Video Gold. You really should check them out. There really is no comparison. His work is DEFINITELY worth every cent.

Definitely depends on what you are getting but its about the average of what we were quoted when we looked around. We are paying $2,500.

I haven't heard of him, but it really does depend on what you're getting and how high quality you think his work is. I'm actually paying an insane amount for videography but I fell in love with their work.
