TOO FUNNY!

ok.. so DH and i have friends who are getting married in september- DH is a GM- the wedding is on his birthday! which was funny and cool... BUT, i just got the invite for her shower today, and the shower is on on first anniversary
(june 25!) just so funny how 2 dates for weddng stuff for the same couple fall on special days for DH and I!
now i'm deciding about the shower- we were planning on going away for a long weekend for our anniversary- but the showers a sunday afteroon, so we COULD possibly make it back in time.... what would you guys do??

you can try to get to the shower... even if you're a bit late. It's the effort that counts. Did the girl go to yours?

I also think they would understand if you couldn't make it, though, since it's your first wedding anniversary!

That is funny, though, how TWO importans dates for you guys will be spent with them!
