I notice how a lot of people have everything booked but I only have the RH and Florist right now. Is this bad? Are a lot of vendors booking up?

Re: Too late?
I am only rushing b/c of the holiday but you are only hitting your year mark...don't panic until after that...do everything one at a time so you don't feel stressed but early is always better!!!

Re: Too late?
i think you are fine, but if there are certain vendors you really want them you should try to contact them now to see if they are booked for your date
a photographer i really wanted was booked for july 09 date by november 07 when i called to ask them for a meeting

Re: Too late?
I only have the RH and Church booked. Im going next week to meet with a DJ. I think DJ and Photog are the two most important things after the RH. At least from what i've read.

Re: Too late?
I haven't booked florist, limos, or our officiant. I really need to get cracking on the officiant as that's really important.

Re: Too late?
I realized that 09' was a popular year when in April after we got engaged, all of the vendors I talked with were booking up so quickly.
Not that this applies to you getting married in the summer- but all of the vendors I talked with had said they couldnt believe how many brides were getting married in the winter this year and into next year. I know for us money is tight and I'm thinking with the recession it just makes more sense for brides to try to save as much money as possible when planning their wedding during a winter month.
