Too late for a bridal shower recipe book

Hey girls,

I read a post recently about guests bringing recipes to a bridal shower and a recipe book was put together for the bride. Problem is the invites already went out for my friend’s bridal shower next month. Can I still do this at the shower and give the cards then or would it be difficult for guests to remember. I think it would be foolish to send out a second envelope with just the recipe card. I know I am definitely doing this for my shower.
Just trying to see if I can still do it for hers.
Thanks for your help.

have people started RSVPing? Perhaps when they do that you can ask them to bring a recipe.

If not, maybe you can just make it yourself from recipes you find on the internet. That way, since you know the kinds of food she likes, it will be full of recipes you picked out just for her.

As far as I am concerned no one RSVP'd yet. The invites just went out.
Ok that's a good idea, maybe I'll have the other bridesmaids spread the word, I'm sure her mom and FMIL will have plenty of receipes.

Thanks!

i also thought of telling guests as they RSVP...

when they call, just mention it to them then to make sure to bring a recipe for the bride

I agree with all the other girls about informing them when they RSVP.

But also to add that you could send out a seperate mailing, but a postcard (postage is $0.27), asking the women to bring with them a favorite recipe to share with the bride, and even if they can't make it, to mail one in.

Not sure it would be cost effective to do this, postage wise, but its an idea...
