Too late to change venue?

Too late to change venue?

When is it too late to change your venue? I am going over the math DAILY and I am starting to wonder HOW we are going to afford our venue.... due to circumstances beyond our control right now? I've sent out my STD's already because more than HALF our guests are OOT, and I dont want to forfit my deposit... but, I just don't know what to do anymore?!

I don't think there's a cut-off date, and you definitely shouldn't worry about the save-the-dates. If you find another venue and save enough money so that it still makes sense to forfeit the deposit, then go for it.

Your location is in Suffolk?... then you have until 6 months before the date to cancel and you get back all your deposits except for $100. Make sure if you want to change you do it before that time. There's a law about this but it only applies to Suffolk County catering facilities.

Yes you could back out as long as its 6 months before. You have to act soon. If you want more advice on this---call the Suffolk county consumer affairs Heres the website The man there can give you more information.
Could you possibly downgrade your type of wedding at your rh?? I remember looking there and there were a few different menu choices.

I think also as long as it is booked again they can give you the deposit back. But if they dont book it I think they can only keep 10% of the deposit.
