I'm getting married in 7 days. We did not invite the Deacon who will be marrying us. We don't know him and only met him twice. We did not send him an invitation but out of courtesy wanted to ask him if he wanted to come. Would it be insulting to send him an invitaton now or ask him on our reshearsal dinner two night before? or should we just not say anything? I feel bad about not inviting him....

I think it's too late for an invite but you should call him on Monday or whenever he has office hours and give him a formal invite. Act like you always had the intention of inviting him but did not know about sending him an invite. That way it won't be as insulting. At least that is what I would do. Waiting till RD is way too late and kind of rude. JMO.

I would call him and invite him. sending an invite through the mail now is extremely late.
