I'm heading home next weekend to look at DJ's and I'm thinking that I'm giving myself too many options! I don't want to get overwhelmed and end up driving all over Long Island, frustrating my FH in the process, and then I won't be able to make a decision. Can you guys give me feedback on how many you saw and how you determined who you picked? Also, here's the list of the dj's i'm considering-- let me know what you think!
Thanks!!

Re: Too many dj's?
We checked out a bunch too:
Body Rock LI Sound Tommy's Tunes 5 Star Entertainment Bravura After Hours ETA: A Starry Night ETA: FM Entertainment
We went with Bravura.
IMO, its hard to get a feel for a dj just from watching their DVDs or from a meeting with a sales rep. If you can get to a showcase, that might help. We went to showcases for 3 of the above vendors. LI Sound does a great presentation in their studio too.
GL with the search. This is a tough one!

Re: Too many dj's?
we checked out some online and in reviews, but we only went to actually meet with get in tune and FM...we booked FM. Glenn from get in tune was good, but too expensive for us

Re: Too many dj's?
We came from NJ, so we did a day of djs. We only looked at three. See if you can narrow them down by price/what you're looking for first? I know it's hard to get a good sense of them from a dvd/website, but that might be a way to start. Remember that each of those appointments will take about an hour, so you don't want to be rushing from place to place with no time to process. I think your number is definitely doable, but if you're stressed it might help to narrow them down first.

Re: Too many dj's?
Yeah, we're trying to cram in as much as possible in 3 days, but i'm afraid we're doing too much! We're meeting with the florist, the church, going dress shopping, and picking a dj, all in less than 72 hours. I'm thrilled that I'm getting married at home, I just wish home was closer to where I live now!
But, that being said, I'm so grateful to everyone on these boards! I've gotten so much good info on places to check out, recommendations, etc. Thanks, ladies!!
