TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THE LIST! HOW MANY ACTUALLY WILL COME?!?!? SO STRESSED
Ok so our list is getting out of control. After the two moms submitted their invite lists plus ours it is way above what we expecteed. The problem is that our locaiton (which is in CA) only hold 130/140 comfortably, it can hold up to 200 wihtout a dance floor and honestly i saw it and i dont see how that could be. But nontheless we want the dance floor and we dont want 190 people to show up. So in your opition/from your experience if we invite 180/190 to the wedding of which about 85% are traveling either from NY, tenessee, or southern california what percentage do you guys think will not show up?!?!?
I am so stressed about this list, should i cut my friends? What does everyone think?

Maybe you should do an A List and a B List? Do you have any single people with guests on the list? Perhaps you can cut the guests? FH and I had this same problem....our hall's max is 230 (comfortably) but we don't want more than 200....our list ended up at 250, but we're cutting it down to 230. We're not doing A and B list but we may send people we expect to say no an invite with an earlier response date so we can then invite a few more people or allow some to bring guests if we get a lot of early no's.....HTH.

You might be okay since the majority of people have to travel from farther away, but just to be safe I would trim it down as far as I could and maybe set up a B list . . . . .

I just recently stopped stressing my minimum is 120 and I really really wanted it there. Then we did are list and our total invites cames to 173. I have stopped stressing because I have come to peace with about 140 so far with my rsvps. If your having alot of people travel I would def take the chance that 40 people wont come and you should be okay.

I would go back through your lists (yours and the mothers') and do A's and B's. You can't not have a dance floor, and I don't think that cutting your friends is an acceptable option either.

I know exactly how you feel. My list was and is out of control what I had to do is cut ppls guest. Lets say its a single person do not put plus 1.. those do add you will be surprised how much that would help and also you do have alot of out of out of towners,, so Perhaps they will not make it,, they say about 20% usually rsvp no.. And definately not having a dance floor,, i do not even think that should be an option.

we invited about 200...half from out of state/country....and we only got 110 actually come...i was soooo happy cause i wanted a smaller wedding...you'd be surprised how many OOters will reply No...HTH!

There is no easy answer to this question. I invited 351, my room held 300, I had alot of OOT guests... I didn't make my mininum!!!! We had 215 or so day of... It's tough!
