I am trying to book my honeymoon in st, lucia for april 2003. I keep getting told that it is too soon because contracts arent out yet. I have spoken to three travel agents and I am frustrated. I want to save money and budget, which means I do not want to wait until the last minute. Are all of you planning this far in advance?
I don't know about the Carribean, but when I stopped into a travel agent she said they usually don't book until about 6 months before...I found this strange as well...

Re: Too soon to book honeymoon?
I am in May and we are going to book in the end of November, beginning of December. Different rates and restrictions apply, and going into 2003, they will differ in prices and packages....don't worry, just sock away the money and go in another 5 months or so. It certainly won't be too late to book it then.

Re: Too soon to book honeymoon?
I am getting married the weekend before you and I just booked my honeymoon a week ago. My travel agent recommended that I book it now because Sandals is having a special...35% off. Also, Air Jamaica was having specials as well. In fact, the prices are so great that I am able to fly first class! I hope that I was able to help!
