So I ended up nuying my dress yestreday. So excited, but I didn't go there planning to get something. I was looking at bm dresses and figured it would be fun to try on some wedding dresses. Well after about twenty we went back to the 1st one and I knew it was the one for me. I am not getting married till July 11, 2008. You do think I jumped the gun alittle or no. I am not really sure. I just know that I LOVE this dress. Oh and I got my vail and tiara.

NOT AT ALL!!!! I actually bought my dress back in July or August but it was totally unexpected. Just happened to stumble into the bridal section after looking at BM dresses and bought the third dress I put on!
When you know you know and sometimes waiting and looking more will just confuse you

It's not too early at all! I bought my dress in November and I'm not getting married until 2 weeks after you.

Tahnks for all your input girls. Its good to know I'm not the only one. I don't have a pic of it and the pic on the website doesn't even show a good view. It is a Demetrios dress, A-line, strapless, lots on intricate beading and it has a detachable train which I love.

I agree with everyone else!! I haven't gone shopping yet, but everyone says you will know it's the one right away.
P.S. I like some of the Demetrios dresses too! Did you get it at Macy's Manhasset? They have a trunk show once a month.

If you think you've found 'the one' ..its never to early..better to get it before its gone, or if you wait and don't find anything i know i'd be dissapointed

I bought mine last week & I love it, the only doen thing is I saw a Jenny Yoo online that I like a lot which cost less than 1/2 of my dress. But FH's comforting words were, you bought it from a reputable Shop & it's close to home. Jenny Yoo Salon is in the city, so I guess he's right it's not worth the aggravation of commuting for dress appts.
Where did you buy your dress? Do you have any pics/.?

I got my dress at macys @ Smithhaven mall. The woman that worked with me was Roxanne. She was so nice and helpful, although some of the other ladies were a bit snippy. Also Macys is giving 15% everything you buy from bm dresses to vails and headpieces. If you like Demetrios I would definetly try there. I am going to try and post a pic. We'll see if it works.

No its a good idea, wedding dresses can take up to a year to get it plus if you need alterations, it can be a long process

No I don't think it's too early. Especially because you weren't planning on shopping for your dress but you found it anyway!

It's ok to purchase your dress early...You just won't get your fittings started until a few months before your wedding....My dress took a while to come in...I go for my fittings in March/April...
