too superificial?

too superificial?

is anyone getting their teeth bleached professionaly for the big day? my dentist does it for only 300 bucks....and that would be a truly unecessary expense with so much to pay for now. but i was considering it. what do you all think?

I have already done it in the past, but if I hadn't...I would.
If it makes you feel better on your day, then why not.....$300 is a GREAT price!

No I definitely don't think that superficical if you can afford to do it. I wanted to but my dentist charges more than $300 & I dunno if we can swing that extra w/other things to pay for. But he did recommend those white strips & so far they're working great!

Wow, for $300 I would definitely do it. My dentist charges almost three times that, and I'm still trying to justify the price. I think I'll end up doing it, since the results will last well beyond my wedding day, and it is something that I've wanted to do for a while now.

Maybe I've gotten used to them but they don't annoy me. Have to wear them for 30 min. 2x day, & I usually do it somewhere/sometime nothing is going on, like on the train to/from work or like when I'm online or something. They don't even taste as horrible as I expected.

I think i'm doing brightsmile. They quoted me 170 bucks and it takes under an hour!

I did a bleaching system from my dentist too for 300...it was easy an hour every night and came out awesome! All I have to do is touch up a week before the wedding!

Re: too superificial?

bleaching actually is very good for your gums and most of us (75% of adults) have some form of gum disease...

so you can look at it as a health reason...

I would, but i'm afraid i'll end up like Ross on Friends when he got his done!!!
I am due for a cleaning though.. but its not superficial to want bleaching!!!

I'd love too, but not sure where I could fit that into the budget, so it will probally be white stripes for me!

Not too superficial! I'm thinking about having them done before the wedding too. I've tried the crest strips and they worked! it's just a pain in the a s s doing it twice a day for 1/2 hour for 2 weeks straight!

If I had the extra $300 bucks I would DEFINITELY do it. For now it's Crest white strips for me.

Re: too superificial?

I'm getting mine done at my dentists office in queens...he is charging $325. he doesn't use that brite smile stuff that i have seen advertised on here...he says that causes tooth sensitivity and other problems...also no harsh lighting.

be careful of dentists that do the laser whitening also...it weakens your teeth!

Anyway...if you need info let me know

No way, I don't think it's superficial at all. Like someone else said, do what will make you feel good.
