I know IL's can be a pain. My FH's mother is like that to... she doesn't want to let go. But just hang in there!

There is one bright side, you FH was on your side and told them out he felt. He could have just sided with his parents even though they were wrong but he didn't which is a VERY good thing!!!

Just look forward to next V-day where you will be husband and wife, which will be even better!!!!

The lobster purchase would piss me off since they are having such a hard time with $. I love it when people cry cry cry that they are broke and then go out and buy lots of expensive krap that they don't need. And think that you somehow forget they just complained to you about $. I just laugh at people like that now, not worth the stress. Not worth the time either.
