Took the day off

I was off sick yesterday... coughing and sneezing... now im on an antibiotic for an upper resp infection....headnig back to work today... 1-9.......


I too do a lot of my work on the computer, as a librarian, and I have my own computer at mydesk, so on my lunch breaks, etc I can check the board.

well firstly...I hope you feel better....second I'm so jealous of you right now that you have sick time left so late in the year...and 3rd...I do most of my work on the computer...so I check the boards regularly.

I'm a teachers so our sick days go from September through June. I think we get one a month plus two personal days a year. I never use all of them... they carry over from year to year.

Being sick in my school is almost advocated.... other teachers get to cover your class and get around $39 per class period for a coverage. I do tons of them and incourage sickness!!!

...makes me feel like I'm in the wrong profession. Actually I always had the desire to teach, but when I declared my major in English, I chose a concentration in Creative Writing and not in education.

With us, the children have to do 10 minutes of reading per subject int he beginning. Without our help.. and so I get bored watching them lol...

Right now theyre taking a test. And Im lucky I type without looking at the keyboard so I can watch and type. lol

LOL i'm there full time and dont make any $$ so yeah not that lucky... so she really cant tell me when and when not to come in

I'm home on disability right now, so I usually come on during the day to avoid daytime television. (I've been home since mid-September, so TV got old fast! LOL)

When I'm at work, my boss doesn't care what I do during my down time, as long as I drop everything when he needs something done, which I always do. So it's a nice balance during the day.

hope you feel better. i actually went today in spite of the fact that my alarm never went off this morning and i had to rush out of the house like a madwoman. then i twisted my ankle during second period when i was supposed to be on hall duty and instead was running around trying to fix a technology problem. now i'm home feeling grateful that i don't have to do conferences from 7-9 tonight

It's sick that a twisted ankle can make you that happy but I know the feeling. Parent teacher conferences suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!
