sign up for it if u need it. its a dental plan that has reduced rates. its less than 200$ for the yr. and you can view the fee schedule online to see how much the out of pocket expenses will be

i hope u can hold out for now.

cant he just start the work and bill your insurance once you are married? like have you sign a waiver.. but to his defense.. i dont think he can risk getting caught for fraud. doesnt hurt to ask though ?

Awww Becks that blows! Thankfully he was able to give you antibiotics. I hope it works for 5 months!!!

I haven't had dental for about 4 years now and it SCUKS! I'm so afraid that I'm going to need major work done and I won't be able to afford it!!

The antibiotics should help a lot. DH had such horrible raging tooth aches around October/November. He got antibiotics and some pain meds and the difference he felt within like 2 days was amazing! Thank God because he was a crankyyyy person to be around when he had a toothache and no sleep. It still hasn't hurt him to this day and I've already applied to put him under my insurance. So soon he'll be able to get it fixed. Good luck!! I'm sure it will help!

wow tooth pain is no joke.

you may hate this idea, but if your FH has good insurance, can you go under his? I was going to go under my FH's as a domestic partner but he has to claim 4k in income bc if it. We may go to town hall and get married anyway before the wedding.

So would it screw everything up if you got married on paper first before your wedding?

Just an idea.

Barb, I have one of the dental savings plans.

It still will cost about $1500 per tooth to go through the root canal/crown/prep work for it.

And Amy... yes, last night I was definitely thinking about possibly going to town hall and what not. FH is waiting to get his birth certificate in the mail because we need that first but we are going to be talking about that this weekend.

We'll see!

I know its not romantic but i mean, you technically get married at town hall anyway when you get your license right? I mean...Kinda. lol

Barb, it will cost me a little over $800 to have them do the root canal and just put a temp filling in. None of the prep work for the crown included.

If by Tuesday the antibiotics haven't started working... I'll have to get the root canal done. :\

Will have to **** it up, they're closed until tuesday anyways. God bless the holiday weekend.

Crashing, sorry!

I just went through my first root canal, actually I'm still waiting for the permanent crown to come in, it came last week, but didn't fit right, so they have to redo it.
I don't have dental insurance either. It is offered through my job, but I didn't take it because I didn't want the extra expense each month, health insurance is already a lot, and I never needed any dental work except fillings before!
But my point is, have you spoken to your dentist about a payment plan? Root canals are expensive! At first, the office manager was reluctant, but then she came around and I have been paying a little at a time. It's worth a shot.

OMG, I am so sorry. I am sure this has been asked a thousand times. Does Bill's insurance allow for 'domestic partners' to be covered?

Some dentists also let you go on payment plans. There is a sign up at my dentists office about some company that they use to take care of that. It's essentially a loan but you can pay it over a year or 2 or whatever and at least be able to get the work done.

i'm sorry boo. i think some of the suggestions are spot on though- just try talking to them! you never know until you ask but they totally could be willing and able to help you out!
