I'm not a heavy drinker but my family/friends are. I wasn't aware that top shelf liquor did not include Hennessy or Johnny Walker Black. If I knew this before I booked I would of told them. Now they want to charge me for the liquor They said Premium Liquor is when you get all that. Am I the only not aware of this?

One place told me the opposite. Premium is without that and Top Shelf is with it.
What a crock!!!!!! Demand it girl!!!!!!!!!
At least the Johnny Walker....Hennessy might be hard to get.
One place wanted to charge me more for bottled beer!!! Heineken is not included in Top Shelf...since when?

i wasnt aware either, until a friend reminded me b4 i started shopping halls in december....so whenever they said premium i needed to know what it was... we need heinken's and amstel lights as beers, in addition to what they had... and chevas, and grey goose vodka...and yes they charged us extra....but we were able to add in more (outside of alcohol) to teh price.

We had them throw in some of the premium liquors when we booked. I am surprised they can't let you have a few bottles of the ones you want free of charge?

I didn't know that but I am also not a big drinker. I would assume top shelf would be Absolute, Grey Goose, Captain Morgans..liquors like that. Most of my friends and family are beer drinkers so I was more conserned about having everyone's favorite bottled beer there.
ETA: Unless you know a lot of people drink those 2 liquors,I would not worry about it. You can't please everyone.

thats what i thought....but grey goose def. not...some halls told me they refuse to carry anything french (ie, Woodbury CC)
Greygoose, Heinkens, & Amstels...were the 3 biggies for us

There were plenty of places that told us we had to choose which 'premium' beer we wanted. Heineken or Corona. I said I wanted both because FI's friends all drink Heineken and my family drinks Corona. They told me it would be an extra charge. This was like 5 catering halls that I went to. Luckily my hall said everything was included.

Our hall told us that if there was any liquor or beer that we wanted that they didn't normally carry to let them know ahead and they would make sure they had it at the reception. Yay

Our hall gave us a list of the liquors, beer and wine they have. We told them that a few things were missing, from what we know our friends/family drink, so they're going to make sure to get those extra bottles.

My hall said that to. Within reason of course. They aren't going to go out and get 20 bottles of liquor but, a couple won't be a problem.
