Then keep looking! How much can you spend -how much do you *want* to spend? How many people do you want to have?

I was hoping to spend about 100 including tax/tips............I don't want to 'have to guarantee' 150 b/c I don't think I'll have that many, I only want to guarantee 130

$100 total means like $75 before hand I think.

Try Crystal Plaza, Swan Club and go to www.weddingsitesandservices.com or get their magazine - anyone else?

What about on Sunday?? I paid with tax and gratuity just about 100 pp, with a 120 minimum.

Let me tell you though it was worth every penny that i paid, and it would be worth the 120 pp.

Everyone loved the food, and the service was amazing.

Also Timber Point Country Club in Great River is supposed to be nice and affordable. And there are other Lessing properties in your price range too.

Rudy's Beau Rivage on the Hudson River was cute too. I'll keep looking.

Obviously Villa Lombardi isn't a fit for you - both the price and the guarantee is too high. Don't let other people put you and your FI into debt for one day.

I think $120 (Including tax and gratuity) is reasonable. - don't forget, most halls are giving you a per person quote and NOT including the 18% Gratuity and 8.75% tax. -

Re: ????????????????????????????/

If you're not thrilled w/ the place- DON'T book it !! You are spending a lot of money - for YOUR day - and don't book someplace just b/c your family is in love w/ it - they've already had your sister's wedding there. -
A wedding reception is just a party !! - Your friends and family will come and have a wonderful time regardless of the reception hall you pick and how much you paid per plate !! -
and to be quite honest, MY family loved the Villa also, my cousin was married there and it was a GREAT wedding- but I would NEVER want my wedding there- it just didn't suit me and my fiancee - it's not 'me' - You have to find what's right for youi and your fiancee. - and once you find it, you'll know. -

try the Fox Hollow - they quoted us a price of $75pp in the fall - Also, many halls will drastically drop their prices from Dec-March
