Photographer is coming to my house at 12:30 p.m. Limo is going to pick me up at 1:45 (I live 4 blocks from the church) Church starts at 2 p.m. The Manor East is about 45 minutes from church. I figure that we should be leaving church at 3:30-3:45 and everyone (including us) should arrive at the Manor East between 4:30-4:45 (maybe a little later if there is traffic) Reception: Pre-Cocktail Hour starts at 5:30 p.m. Cocktail Hour starts at 6 p.m.

Re: wedding day time schedule
jenny ... give the details ....
where are you doing your hair/makeup? Home or out? who else will need hair/makeup? When is your photographer coming? When is your limo coming?
Here was my time timeframe ...
Got up around 7AM .. showered ready by 8AM. Went to Mom's. Had a light breakfast & relaxed there. Hairstylist arrived at 9 to set up and had mom done by 9:45ish. I got in the chair at 10 just as the makeup artist arrived. Mom had makeup while I had my hair done. I was ready for makeup by 11, but needed to eat something first so I got started around 11:15. Finished with makeup by 12:15. Had time to have some last minute attention to details ... flowers arriving (from florist & from vinnie!) etc. Making sure baskets were ready to go for reception etc. House was getting busy ... girls started arriving. Got everything laid out for dressing. Photographer arrived at 1pm, but did not want me dressed. We started getting dressed when she was ready for me & was finished with everything by 2:45! Rolls had arrived but not limos for girls ... so had to wait around but that's another story!!
Hope this helps!

Re: wedding day time schedule
Jenny: All my guests that are coming to church know that they should leave after church and go straight to the reception since I am having a pre-cocktail hour (coffee, cookies, etc.) at 5:30. I am taking my pictures at the Manor East so I need the extra time. I figured that by the time they all get there, give their car to vallet, go to the bathroom, etc., it will be around 5:30.

Re: wedding day time schedule
jenny ... re gap between ceremony & reception.
Most guests don't come dressed to church, they go home & change. Others may need the name of some places in the area that they can park it if your reception hall does not have a bar area to accomodate them.

Re: wedding day time schedule
We had a big gap between the ceremony and reception...
Ceremony stated at 2:30pm (full mass -- ended around 4pm)
Reception started at 7pm
MIL hosted a little something in her suite at the Inn at Fox Hollow... I think there were only about 8 or 9 people who showed up... I wouldn't worry about what you're guests are going to be doing in between... they'll figure something out.
But to answer your question about time line... I had my hairdresser come to my hotel at 6:30am and started on the first girl and my make-up artist arrived at 7:30am... we were all ready by noon...

Re: wedding day time schedule
You tell them what time your ceremony starts & they work it out with you. Photographers usually don't need more than 1 1/2 to 2 hours before hand & your limo should arrive 15 - 30min before, depending on where your church is. You shouldn't worry too much about guests, either. They'll do their thing. You probably won't have as much time to kill as you think, anyway.
You've got lots of time, sweetie. Don't stress this now!! It'll all fall into place.
