i have to say that i'm pretty shocked and upset by some of the no responses i've been getting. i understand that not everyone can come, but some of the excuses are just LAME and are from people that i THOUGHT i was really close with -- i guess not.
it really makes you open your eyes, especially when i've gone out of my way to make sure i attend these same people's events.

It is def an eye opener! I know they are not obligated but I hated how some didn't even say why. I had alot that just checked no & I still see some of these people & they don't say why or Im sorry I can't go because.... My worst is one of my supposed good friends who was going to be a reader can't afford the trip from florida when she knew a year in advance !

exactly this. some people are just rude/selfish, thoughtless. sorry that you have to go through w/ this but you will still have an amazing time without those ppl there

ITA i stop talking to some of my no's especially since we've gone to there weddings etc...im done and over it and dont want nor need them there or in our lives

i know exactly how you feel. we had many no responses that shocked us. we even had an aunt who said yes and then called to say 'its the only weekend she is free so shes going on vacation and wont be able to attend'. my husband was fuming and says in his eyes she is no longer family and we will not be going to her house anymore for holidays. we always go above and beyond to be a part of things and when its not reciprocated it hurts.
but know that everyone there is there for you and it will still be an amazing day

i had some people just check no too, without any explanation or call.
i also had someone practically beg me to come to the wedding, who i would have never invited, and then she said no and is now ignoring me.
