Topic of the Boards..

I don't understand .. we can't have a Pet section on the boards here, but we can have one for Mets, and one for Yankees??!!

Did I miss something???

nah, the yanks mets boards are here to stay i believe

they're meant to stop the clutter of baseball posts on NWR

Yeah, why not just make a separate board for everything? I understand everyone wants different boards so that it's easier to search and discuss things. But I think it's getting a little out of control. How many boards do we need? And then people will complain when the NWR boards are slow. And then other people will complain when someone posts on the wrong board.

I like the Yanks/Mets boards. I think it was originally done as a joke because of all the back and forth bashing that was going on. But so far I think it's taking off nicely and I'm guessing it's here to stay. As far as creating other new boards I'm sorry but I just don't see a need for it.

Then again I'm not the owner of the site so it's really not my choice.

Yeah, I think it's a little silly. I didn't really see all that many posts in reference to the mets and yanks to make separate boards for them. Perhaps, maybe one board met/yanks, but not two.

If you're going to combine the Mets/Yanks boards you might as well either just make a sports board in general or take the boards away and just go back to posting on the NWR.

well it is just that to those of us who dont have kids (or even those that do) OUR PETS are like our kids...now i dont want you to think i am one of those crazy pet people that dress their pets up and stuff (sorry to offend you if you are i am just not one of those peple and i think that FH would leave me if i was ) but i sometimes i just want to talk about how cute fiona is or ask if anyone has any training tips....i guess i could do that on NWR...but still

Yeah i totally know what you are saying....(to contradict myself) i hate going back and forth between boards too...and that IS what NWR is for...

I like having boards to pick from because if/when everything gets lumped into NWR .. it gets to be nearly impossible to keep up with everything, and posts from just one day end up going back several pages. Most importantly, it's nice having the topics sorted out, because it helps to filter what you are/aren't interested in.

If you lose track of your own posts, simply do a search for yourself from the last date you posted.

As for the Mets board and Yanks board .. how silly will these boards be when the season is over???? .. Then what will we get .. Isles - Rangers?????

I do a search for my own posts. I don't like having to do it but that's what I have to do. Personally I don't have a problem going through a couple of pages to see what some of the posts of the day were.

As far as when baseball is over, there may still be people that talk about it even when the season isn't going on. Or maybe they will change it to an Islanders/Rangers board if enough people post on it. Right now the mets and yankees boards are getting some good activity and that's with no games for the last 3 days.
