torn between 2 RH.

I need some help. Sat down with Fox Hollow and Villa Lombardi's. I loved them both!! The forum has been really helpful with info on the Fox Hollow, but no to much on Villa. Anyone who can help with some information, that would be great! Thanks for the help!

I am biased, but I say Fox Hollow. I have been to 2 weddings there, and am a BM there in February and getting married there. Both times I have been there I have been impressed with the food and the professionalism of the staff. There is so much food between the cocktail hour and dinner, the first time I went I didnt realize the cocktail hour wasn't the actual reception.

i think this is REALLY going to depend on the look you want for your wedding.

From what i know both look very different from eachother. Neither answer is wrong, just depends which place fits your style more and goes with the style of the wedding you are trying to achieve.

Ive heard amazing things about both places. Never went to fox hollows but went to a wedding YEARS ago at villa lombardi and food was great

Ok...you asked I will be honest...not to offend anyone getting married at Villa Lombardi's but I went to a wedding there last year and was not impressed at all by the attitude of the staff. the waitress seemed bothered by having to take our order and explaining dishes, one of the other staff members actually made a snide comment about how much I used the restroom! (my contact was scratched and really bothering me) Now it could've just been a bad day for them but just thought I'd share!

That said...the food and decor was EXCELLENT!!

IMHO I would not choose Villa Lombardi's. I tried and tried to make an appointment with one of their BM's to check out the rooms and get some prices, but they were always too busy or had some function going on. Honestly, they were pretty rude to me on the phone so they totally turned me off before I had even stepped a foot into the place. Needless to say I voted for Fox Hollow. Good Luck

I got married at Fox Hollow and had a great experience. I looked at Villa Lombardi and didn't like it at all. The girl showing me to place was nasty and called me a bridezilla within the first 5 minutes all because i said i liked the high-low centerpiece look. She said that the florists don't set them up right and I said that I think I would just ask them to switch it before my guests came in. That made me a bridezilla. I was totally turned off. Everyone at the fox hollow was sooo nice. I went to look when they were changing the place over from the day weddings to the night weddings. Everyone from the maitre'd to the bus boy and bathroom attendant stopped to welcome me and ask if I had any questions. I was impressed and booked with them!! HTH

I agree with this statement. Both have such a different look. I didn't have the best experience at Villas, the service was not great, but the food is amazing. But I think the food at Fox Hollow is just as good.

Re: torn between 2 RH.

We have been to both (along with 14 other venues). We had terrible experiences with staff at both because we couldn't see the rooms after it took us weeks to find a free day that we could go. I wish they would have informed me on the phone that this was going to occur and I would have come on another day! The man at Fox was so rude/ unprofessional I cannot decribe (I can but I will be kicked off LI weddings lol). The woman at Villa was very kind and sorry, but I was still angry.

That being said the food at both is awesome. I have eaten at both places. Villa was a little more Italian-marble floors, murals etc. and Fox Hollow was more rustic with the high ceiling and wooden walls. I personally didn't like the decor of Villa, while it is beautiful it's not my taste.

We will prob be married at Fox Hollow, despite their jerk-off director Mr.Gerin.

Here is something else to consider: Where do most of your guests live? We had many people coming from westchester/ white plains and Fox Hollow is far west. We live near Villa but none of our guests do.

We liked this about the Fox:
-The inn is awesome and right next door
-If your married there you don't need a limo because you walk to the inn and arrive before your guests
-The location is good for our guests
-The Garden room is just wow
-They own resturants and know food (as does Villa)...but they own Blackstone and we love that place
- My parents were married there 25 years ago.

Biggest downside:
Ourdoor cermony is so close to the lovely Jericho Turnpk. I am afraid that Mac trucks will be driving by and my guests will hear them.

We liked about Villa:
-Villa had a bigger dance floor in the center of the room and Fox has it at the end of the room.
-Villa included more food at cocktail hour then fox .
