i knew abour the tornado watch but they just showed footage and said it touched down in islip terrace!!!! crazy!!! and they r saying conditions will be right for one tomorrow!! be careful!!!!!!
yea my mom told me this but I thought she just forgot to take her medication, I didn't think it was true. I'll have to apologize to her

I'm not sure about a tornado, but I know that in the early 80s Hurricane Gloria REALLY messed up Islip (my parents were living there at the time with little baby me). After that Hurricaine Bob really roughed it up as well. It's right on the bay, so it tends to get pretty ravaged during hurricanes and storms.
It was 2 blocks from my sister's house and a few blocks from where I live. You should see what the streets around my complex look like...so much tree debris. FH said it must have been near by because it sounded like the roof was coming off
Yup that is mine and Mimacat's home town. My Aunt lives on Islip ave on in Islip Terrace and they are 'missing' parts of their fence!! Weird how the weather is been wacky.
