Do you have to toss stuff after the wedding (bird seed, rose petals, bubbles)?
I had thought about doing rose petals and i have thought about doing nothing.
Is everyone doing something?
If you did rose petals, did you just order them from your florist? How expensive is it?
TIA.

Re: tossing stuff???
I didn't toss anything, our church wouldn't let us so I figured it was one less thing to do.

I think it's up to you... I think we'll do rose petals, but you certainly don't have to throw anything!

Re: tossing stuff???
you definately don't have to...we weren't going to do anything until 3 days before the wedding when DH decided it was like the most important part of the day...then we did bubbles 'cause it was easier...
BUT it made me realize that it was nice to have something because it gave the guesta purpose for waiting for us to finish the receiving line and exit the church...other wise I think it may have a been a little anti-climatic for them....

sugar hearts?? that sounds different. what are they lol.
if we do anything (and the church approves) i think i'm just doing the bubble thing....no preparation involved for me.

Re: tossing stuff???
if the church allows it...i would like to do rose petals. i also like the idea of having a picture with the petals in color and everything else in black and white...so that was my motivation for this idea.

Re: tossing stuff???
If worried about the price of rose petals...join AC Moore email list. They send out a 40% off coupon every week (sometimes a 50%) and you can print it and photocopy it. Maybe it will help you buy them for a better price.
Or maybe you can look at a manufacturer for them. Just a thought

Re: tossing stuff???
We didn't really have anything tossed. We had our guests wave bell/ribbon wands tho.
It isn't something you have to do, I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice it's missing!!

Re: tossing stuff???
i am getting married at my RH .. and they don't really allow bubbles (makes the floor to slippery) so i think we are gonna leave a bell on each chair and have the guests ring them when we are pronounced husband and wife

I think I am doing bubbles. I was concerned about them staining my dress, but reviews say they won't...

we did rose petals... we ordered the petals from the florist, and they were fairly inexpensive... we made the cones ourselves with doiles... and they made for great pictures...we used one as our thank you pic!

Re: tossing stuff???
Well my church wont allow rice or confetti [which is sooooo typical for my guinea family ] So I'm going to ask if i can atleast have sugar hearts or ecofetti. I really dont want birdseed and I want to still hold some tradition, so I was thinking of having the sugar hearts since theyre alteast the same color as rice with 1 piece of confetti in each A little secret the church wont know until after the wedding..
Heyyy not for nothing- the church is charging me $700, the least they can do is sweep up a few confetti!!!!!

They're these small white hearts. My cousin had them at her wedding a few years ago. She put them in little satchets. It was cute. I didn't want the traditional rice or birdseed. I'm all for doing something different!!
