Just curious after you tally up what your vendors charged (RH, DJ, Florist, Photographer/Videographer, BM costs, etc) plus Church/Pre-Cana/Foccus - what your total cost of wedding expenses are? (if family/relatives are also contributing $$ or services, also account for that).
** Honeymoon costs excluded***

Re: Total Cost of Your Wedding? (POLL)
I showed the results of this thread to FH and his expression of shock was priceless. Granted, if the parents are paying for most of the costs and/or you have all that $$ saved up - all the more power to you..but I'd rather spend that $$ for a downpayment on a new car or house!! But that's just me... Happy Planning!

It also depends so heavily on your number of guests. If you have a 200 person guest list, it is veyr hard to keep costs down, even with a very low price per person at the RH.

We should be at $12-$13k when all is said and done. I don't foresee us exceeding the $15k mark.

if anyones wedding costs under 50k.. its going to be wack
Whats that supposed to mean? that spending less $$ means the wedding will be too ghetto?!! Don't even go there, sister.
yea.. spending less than 50k .. how can u? what are you serving your guests??? SPAM?
We're spending $80 pp without tax and gratuity but we're having less people. The quality and selection of the food is not the part that we're skimping on. We don't have big families so in total we're inviting about 110 people and I'm sure not everyone will be attending.

agreed! We're having 300 guests, so we're budgeting as much as possible, but it's pretty much impossible to do it inexpensively.

I am having a small wedding so mine is between $17 - $18K. FH and I are paying for it, so we kept costs down by inviting less than a 100 people!

FH thinks its $25k but I know we will def go over.
BTW if you get the right date and the right hall they thow in a lot of extras. I must say $15k on a reception hall is getting me top shelf liquor and tons of food. Yep, vianese table, chocolate fountain, and all.

I'm cutting costs by not only having a cash bar, but also cash dinner service...also, the guests who want to come to the ceremony will pay an entrance fee (in addition to the donation to the church).
