Totally distraught...need to vent

I don't know what to do. FH has a daughter with his ex-girlfriend, who clearly still wants FH, but it's solely b/c he's happy with someone else. She is mentally unstable, wanting everyone to be as miserable as she is. FH tells me last night she just found a new apartment (I knew she was looking) on our eff-ing block! She signed the lease yesterday. She is constantly interfering in our lives now and she lives towns away. This is her passive-aggressive stalking. We own our house, so its not like we can just go find another apartment. I cannot stand the thought of waking up every day, looking out my window and seeing her horrible ugly orange pubic hair head! I don't know what to do! I'm on the brink of hysteria.

Ooh....bad situation; I'm sorry, honey!!! I would say maybe FH could explain to her how uncomfortable it makes you...but if she signed the lease (could she be lying?) then I'm not sure what you can do.

That sounds like something my FMIL would do. Actcually, she sort of has. FH and I moved to Long Beach a few years ago and suddenly, after years of NEVER going there, she eats there, goes to the beach, used to go to the tanning salon that was next door to FH's work. UGH!

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. It really stinks, I know. Has FH said anything to her?

She has issues. Maybe FH can hint her... no chance of getting together! Time to get her life together. Did he ask her why she moved there? I would have told her that I don't see why she felt compelled to move so close to you guys.

Maybe it isn't so bad, your FH will be closer to his daugther which would be great for them. Fh loves you and is marrying you don't get crazy, you'll be connected to this woman the rest of your life bc of fh's daughter...

FH is just as uncomfortable with the situation as I am although I think a part of him is psyched that his daughter will now be so close. He told me last night that she asked him before she signed the lease if he was okay with it and he told her no. Now, the irony of the situation is that FMIL neighbor has an apartment for rent and I wouldn't let FH tell the ex about it b/c I felt THAT was too close for comfort. I just can not believe this. Who does this? I wish she would get on with her life and set a positive example for her daughter instead of carrying on with some chirade. It's pathetic.

I can totally relate!!! FH's Ex wife lives two houses next to us. At first it irritated me but I realized that it makes her miserable to us happy so now I wave and smile every morning as we're leaving for work. Kill the girl with kindness!!! True...maybe I should just get my porn star act together and take it out onto the front lawn! Not sure the rest of my neighbors will appreciate it though! But, hey, why should I be the only one uncomfortable in my own neighborhood?

OMG... I can't even imagine. I at a loss for words on this one! What can you do? Nothing really! I know I'm NO help, whatsoever!!! I'm just so sorry you're going through this!

All I can say is... invest in SHADES, CURTAINS, ALARMS, etc.

Oh that s*cks! I can't believe she would do something like that. I agree with the other girls- kill her with kindness and make sure she always see how happy the two of you are together. It will probably strengthen your relationship with FH- having that crazy woman so close will only make him appreciate and love you more. And getting your porn star self on in the front yard may help too!

If that doesn't work, there's always the Bridentologists...after all, what's a cult for if not to protect our fellow members!
