you don't understand how big of a deal this is.
its been TWO years!
it ends up... there was nothing wrong with the system.. a switch got flipped on the unit. thats it. no major repair....
the landlord came to check it out because we're possibly moving and they refused to replace the unit so they came to evaluate it and the guy was like.. 'yea, i literally flipped a switch'
granted it smells like burning dust.. and there's dust behind blown out (and hi, i'm allergic).. but i'll deal!

my wall unit is 100% totally shot, but its ancient. but i still have my space heater at ready incase something goes wrong.
