Ok ladies...u all are very creative ppl. I need help planning my FH's graduation party. He graduates in December and I wanna plan something totally special that will knock him off of his feet. I wanted it to be a surprise but know that my FMIL would probably ruin it...(she couldnt hold water). So I need some ideas on how to make it special.

there's a new restaurant opening in Oct. - the melting pot - right now the closest they are is in NJ there prices aren't bad you can look at their website online, it would probably be a lot of fun to get a group together and you wont have to go crazy with planning

Oooh, that is a GREAT idea! I love the melting pot! Its definitely different for a party and its a great way for everyone to interact.

i went to a melting pot in virginia it is very expensive and i asked about the one in ny and it was suppose to open this summer but i guess it didn't .....it was 150 bucksfor me and FH to eat dinner, it is SO cool but so expensive

What I did for mine, was tell him that we were having a 'Small party' the day after his graduation (His was a Thursday...so Friday) and planned for all the family members go to up to a house we rented in PA (He loves the country) so, the next day, I told him we were heading to the party, (I packed his clothes the night before and they were in the trunk he didnt know) and we left around 12, got there around 3, and by then, he was confused... I told him we were meeting at 'CrackerBarrel' (And he seemed SOOO mad!) and then pulled into the house where there were signs and everyone was outside. It was so nice...

ok ladies I ended up telling him about the party I was nervous someone was going to spill the beans. So what I am going to do let him give me the names of the people he wants to come and their numbers and let him at like it was a surprise. And considering the amount of work that I am going to put into this party he will be surprised.

Well he's graduating from the NYPD police academy after christmas...I heard it's the 27th.
He loves...sports...me (of course), law enforcement, music, and most of all FOOD!
