Totally NWR but need help

We're in the process of re-doing our kitchen.
The cabinates are ordered now I have to pick a Color for the kitchen and I have no clue!!!
These are the cabinates.
What color would you chose for the walls?

Pretty cabinets! My first thought was grey, but then they might look dirty. What about a light goldish color?

LOL
well, the kitchen was supposed to be done AFTER the wedding. Gerry decided one afternoon he was going to take off a small piece of the floor to see whats under it......before you know it the whole flippen floor is ripped up. Thank God there is a nice wood floor under that. Then the next day he wanted to see what was under the panneling in the kitchen.....Again, that one small piece turned into the whole things being 'stripped'

I keep thanking God for our Tax man!!

Make sure you take before and after pictures.
That was my plan but FH did the kitchen so quickly and when we moved in, all the pics I took I accidentally deleted off my camera before putting them online
Stupid me!!

how is the room lighting? do you have a lot of southern windows (bright room), or are there smaller windows, nothern exposure, or trees outside?

If you have low light, it likely would be best to have really pale or bright wall colors, to brighten up the room. With the cabinet stain, either a traditional color (a yellowy cream or a yellowy beige) or a brighter color (a warm antique gold) would match well..... A cooler less reflective color like sage or a light taupe can also be an option in a brighter room.....

Learning from the decorating errors of my parents, I strongly advise that all permanent items match the classic style and tone of your cabinets... The furniture and appliances should also be neutral colors and styles that aren't trendy.... better to be more classic in design. The walls, curtains, and accessories can be colorful and trendy because it's all easily changed without destroying the room....

gorgeous cabinets!!!!

Olive, mauve, a warm muted yellow, bone. I would stick with a lighter earth tone. They are very dark and you will be able to appreciate their rich color against a lighter wall.

I agree with the sage green or a light yellow.

Any LIGHT color. The cabinets are really nice and any LIGHT color offsets the cherry. I would go with an antique white or a buttercream.
