I am a CPA. Are you taking a review class? and what parts are you sitting for?

Also did they change the format of the test yet? When I took it they kept saying it was goign to change and I passed it in May of 2001.

The test is changing April 2004 - UGH I'm sitting for all 4 parts but focusing on fare, are and law. When I start working in SEpt I'll be doing taxes so I'm really ignorant when it comes to audit =P I'm taking becker right now. I HOPE I PASS 2 parts!!!

How long did it take you to pass??

Re: Totally off topic - Is anyone here a CPA or going to be??

I graduated school in may 1998 and sat for the november 1998 exam was teh first time. I took Person Wolinsky review and took Law and Fare since I wanted the morning tests on different days. THe first time, I came close on both parts, second time I passed one part and failed the other by 3 points, they I passed the one I failed, and failed the one I had passed by a point. THe next time I passed both parts. Then I sat for Audit and passed it on the first time, and then after that Are I passed on the first time. So all in all I sat 5 times!!!

Does Becker give you flash cards, I felt that with Person Wolinsky they really helped. It is hard to tell you what to study for becasue each time I took it they would focus on something else, go over the flash cards and the practice tests is the best advice I could give you.

Remain Calm and Good luck!!!!

Also, since you are still in school, I would focus more on you classes then on the exam, but study study study in the summer, it is really hard to study for exams and the exam, Take the test this time as a practive, becaseu no matter how many old exams you look at, the test just seems different, I guess it is the pressure or something but it seems different, and once you are comfortable with the way the test works, you become more comfortable taking it.

Also what school are you going to, and where did you get a job?

Failing is not that bad, I have lived thru it, I even passed one and not the other and missed it by one point, yup one point, of course on the one part that didn't have essays.

Failing just makes you work harder the next time around, Anything worth having won't come easy!!!
