Totally over this - Long, but I need some support/advice

Totally over this - Long, but I need some support/advice

So FH's family are at times very nice, but most of the time they are so ridculously dependent on him. To the point that it has seriously interfered with him achieving his own goals throughout his life.

So his mom 'gave' him a car a few years ago, he had made as many payments on it as she had when she was driving it. So last July she decided she wanted to trade cars with him b/c the engine on hers was messed up. So she pretty much wanted the car that worked and to give us a car that would cost $2000 to fix. FH said no and I hadn't heard anything else.

A few months ago it came up again. FH again said no, and even offered to give her some $$ to repair her car. So a few weeks ago FH's sister (who has 2 illegitimate children and lives with FMIL and is supported by her) car had a electrical shortage and literally went on fire. So FMIL calls FH yesteray and says 'I'm taking back your car, giving it to her and I'm keeping mine' Leaving FH with NO car!!!

I am LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He continuously gets screwed. At this point I said fcuk it, just give her the cars back. So I tried talking to my parents about it b/c my dad knows a lot about money things and my mom just can't stop running her mouth. 'Oh it'll be your loan, what is he going to contribute' blah blah blah.

So I pretty much told them that I needed help but not that tyoe of help. Said goodbye and hung up.

I'm just so sick of everyone

awww i'm so sorry Lori. I don't have any advice either except if he wants to get even or whatever, 'sell' the car back but do it legitimately with the title and everything.

there's only so much a person can take by being dumped on

The original plan was that FH and his mom switch cars. But now that his sister has no car his car goes to her and his mom keeps her car!!! That's the crazy part!!

So if his mom is supporting his sis, is mom planning to make two car payments? FH better not make another payment! Can the two of you finance together?

No - she will be making no car payments b/c the two cars she has now are paid off. And when his sister gets a check from her insurance company for the replacemnt value of her car that was totaled - I wonder where that money will go???

We're just going to buy a used car together but it's another payment that we shouldn't have to pay for

Thanks again girls

Some parents are absolutely effing rediculous....my FILs included...and FH knows this. You have know idea the shyte I have gone through with $ and the FILs over the past year or so (I can seriously write a novel...but I will spare you of that). If you need to vent - please, feel free to FM me - I feel we are in a very similar situation whereby our FHs have been taken advantage of financially and emotionally...

What doesnt kill you makes you stronger (at least thats what I keep telling myself!)
