Totally stinks.-- UPDATE
Recently, I was asked to participate in a major project at work. Lots of work but high visibility and great opportunity for me. I agreed, knowing that at the end of the project, I will be away for 3 weeks on my honeymoon.
Well, this project now involves some spontaneous travel...I am supposed to fly out this Sunday for an early morning Monday meeting on the West Coast....FH was pleading with me to fly out Monday morning, but there are literally NO flights that morning that would get me in on time. Well, eventually, he said then I have to fly out as late as possible SUnday night....in so many words, I guess this is when my shower is.
I know I really should just tell work that this has been planned and I cant miss it because of everyone travelling in, but I feel awful about it all. Just venting I guess. Why do these 'great' opportunities come up at the most inopportune times??????? I'm so sad.
ETA: I spoke with my boss who felt terrible that my surprise got wrecked and let me know its not a problem. I can skip the trip and call in or go another day. I'm a lot happier than I was yesterday![]()
