Totally you

My mom wants to begin to look for her dress style and color. I have heard good things about totally you. Any experiences there? Do you need an appointment?
Or any other mob dress suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

Totally you

My mom got her dress at Totally You. They're really nice, but they're selling mostly off the rack now, which my mom didn't want. She originally ordered a dress and then received a call a week later telling her it had been discontinued. So, she went back and chose another that could still be ordered. It should get here in September. I felt bad at first because she really loved the first dress, but all is well now.

They were honestly the nicest ladies, and super helpful.

ETA: you don't need an appointment!

I went there with my mom & I thought he lady was rude. She gave us an attitude because we were looking early (my mom wanted to try dresses on when she had a tan be that's how it would be for my wedding, so she looked now). And the lady working there pretty much said all of the stuff won't be available when we need it so there's no point in looking now. This was even after my mom said if she found something she loved she would buy it.

I thought the people who worked at bridal reflections in massapequa & even the wedding center in commack were a lot nicer.

I went with my mom last year for my sister's wedding and she thought the prices were high considering all the dresses have basically been tried on. They are charging you full retail and you are not getting a brand new dress. The do keep the dresses in plastic but they still have been handled.

My mom and mother inlaw both got dresses at Beautiful Bride in Lynbrook. My sister also works with a woman who recently went there and she loved her experience.

Thanks. Good to know. That is why my mom wanted to try on now bc she is tan and will be for my wedding next June!

Re: Totally you

Lol too funny that our moms think alike.

Depending on what style she likes, there are also relly formal bridesmaid dresses that can pass off as mother of the bride. My mom bought a noir by Lazaro bridesmaid dress for about half the price (if not more) of a MOB dress.

My mom got her dress from there. Their prices were better than any of the other places we went to. The people we worked with were very nice. She didn't buy an off the rack dress; we ordered it. And it came in time for the wedding. We ordered the dress 4 months before the wedding because my mom couldn't find anything she loved at other stores or they were too expensive and I didn't think she should spend $1,000 on a MOB dress.

My mom and I went there to shop. We found them to be very rude. I guess the prices were OK, but their service was so poor I wouldn't have let my mother buy anything from there.

Ultimately, my mom found her gown at Nordstrom's, but I found the service at Sugarplum in Garden City to be excellent. They treated my mother with courtesy and respect (as she should be treated)! The gowns were beautiful there; mom just didn't find the one she wanted there.
