Touring Timber Point today! Lessings question
We're touring Timber Point today. Is it possible to negotiate with Lessings regarding price and amenities? Especially if we're booking a Sunday afternoon in May--I wonder if it's getting late and they'd be happy to just fill the slot.
I'm hoping we love it and want to book it. TP seems like what we're looking for--I've heard some reservations that other posters have, such as the dance floor being on the side, the lack of a foyer, it being crowded, but I'm actually OK with all of those. The dancing isn't the main focus, I don't care about the foyer, and we're having fewer than 100 people. We toured the Three Village Inn last weekend, and although I liked it quite a bit--I've had brunch there many times so I know I like the place--I had some reservations. I don't like either of the ceremony locations, I don't like the chairs and $9.50 for a chair cover is shocking, and I'm not sure about dividing the reception room if we have a small number of guests.
Anyway, we were told by email that Timber Point could do $69 per person on a Sunday afternoon in May if we guaranteed 85 adults. Now, that's more guests than we were planning, and we actually thought about cutting a few for the 3VI. But, it's not as if we couldn't invite a few more people. (We're trying to keep costs down.) I've read on this board that Lessings can be negotiated with--if they're stuck on 85 people, do you think we could get the per person charge reduced? Or, possibly, get other things thrown in for that price? The ceremony, perhaps? The coffee bar? Suggesions? Thanks for any help!
