tourist: Good Morning!!!

Lyrics:
Song: GOOD MORNING Lyrics

Kathy:
Good mornin',
Cosmo:
Good mornin'!
Don:
We've talked the whole night through,
Kathy:
Good mornin'
Kathy, Don & Cosmo:
Good mornin' to you.
Good mornin', good mornin'!
It's great to stay up late,
Good mornin', good mornin' to you.
Cosmo:
When the band began to play
The sun was shinin' bright.
Don:
Now the milkman's on his way,
It's too late to say goodnight.
Kathy, Don & Cosmo:
So, good mornin', good mornin'!
Sunbeams will soon smile through,
Good mornin', good mornin', to you,
Kathy:
And you, and you, and you!
Good morning,
Good morning,
We've gabbed the whole night through.
Good morning, good morning to you.
Don & Cosmo:
Nothin' could be grander than to be in Louisiana
Kathy, Don & Cosmo:
In the morning,
In the morning,
It's great to stay up late!
Good mornin',
Good mornin' to you.
Don & Cosmo:
It might be just a zippy
If you was in Mississipi!
Kathy:
When we left the movie show
The future wasn't bright
But tame is gone
The show goes on
And I don't wanna say good night
Don & Cosmo:
So say, Good Mornin'!
Kathy:
Good Mornin'!
Kathy, Don & Cosmo:
Rainbow is shining through
Kathy:
Good Mornin'!
Don & Cosmo:
Good Mornin'!
Kathy:
Bon Jour!
Don & Cosmo:
Bon Jour!
Kathy:
Buenos Dias!
Don & Cosmo:
Buenos Dias!
Kathy:
Buon Giorno!
Don & Cosmo:
Buon Giorno!
Kathy:
Guten Morgen!
Don & Cosmo:
Guten Morgen!
Kathy, Don & Cosmo:
Good morning to you.

Waka laka laka wa
Waka laka laka wa...
Ole, toro, Bravo!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ain't the internet great?

and yes.. it's a musical (the movie Singin in the Rain)

I got it on DVD for XMas cause i LOVE that movie. I forgot how LONG it was though until Jim and I sat down to watch it.

I love watching Gene Kelly musicals. Just sorta big production hollywood stuff. Amazing to see what they did back then. Before special effects and real 'on location' shooting. What they used to do with just a stage.

Anyhow.. Good Morning is shot in a living room/kitchen area. It's the morning after the three main characters (Don, Cosmo & Kathy) have stayed up all night planning out a new 'show' which Kathy would sing and another actress would act the part. One of them says 'good night' and Kathy says 'good morning'

It's a cute little number. Most people know the tune and prehaps the end scene with the three of them stepping up on a couch and stepping on the back of the couch to flip it back then collapse in giggles.

Can you tell I like the movie! ?? LOL

Just a little.

OK, I was getting it confused with Sound of music which I hate. I saw Singing in t he rain once & on tv and was soo hooked. It IS a good flick.
I thought I had positive memories of the song! It's all coming together now.

OMG
I have to see
I love how small children re-inact little things like that.. and I LOVE the dancing part of singin in the rain.

As a matter of fact I usually start to humm and hop a bit lighter in the light rain because I think of that piece hehehe

Aaaagh. Yesterday it was 'One Night in Bangkok,' and now this song is stuck in my head!
