Anyone know if the one in Oceanside carrys wine? I like their wine for a cheap wine, and have gotten it in the city- but didn't know if they sold it on LI.

How are you taking the transition. I have lived in NYC for so long that I think it would be so hard for me to move out. The reason I ask is because FI wants to move out of NYC and I am not sure I want to.

well I moved to LI for college from maine, so it was pretty different. Then I moved to NYC 2 years ago but FH still lived on LI, so i went there a lot on weekends. So I don't think it will be too bad of a transistion. Commuting may kinda suck, but it kinda does now cus I live far from the subway- but have gotten used to the bus. But i am going from a small (about 450 sq ft) 2 bedroom apartment with a tiny lil bathroom and hardly any closet space to a large 1 bedroom with a walk in closet and 5 other closets and 1.5 baths and a kitchen that is bigger than a tiny little corner in the living room, and its on the beach. So Im looking forward to it!
oh ya and there is a dishwasher!!!
And, its $400 less than the place in the city!

I cant tell you how happy i am there is a trader joes in long island.. In california we have one everywhere. i was sad that i was going to loose them when i moved to ny!!
their salads are awesome!

I don't believe they carry wine in any of the LI locations (I've never seen it).

i practically live at trader joes. i'm so sad there really aren't that many on long island because my mom desperately wants to shop at one on a regular basis like i do. but the nearest one is about 30 minutes away - not worth it for grocery shopping!!!

definitely no wine there...i checked for a friend a year ago. they're not legally allowed to sell it on LI for some reason. they said the nearest store with it was NJ

You live so close to one of the best wine stores in the state...POPs!!!!!! They're awesome and they have such a great selection. they also have consultations available with ceritfied somalies and free wine tastings every saturday. Its right on Long Beach Road in Island PArk. Welcome neighbor...I'll prob see ya shopping around there

Only the Manhattan store carries wine, and that's accessible by going through to a different room from the main store, apparently (or that's how they said it was supposed to be).
