Maybe try the Stew Leonards wine shop in Farmingdale? They won't have the 2 Buck Chuck, but they do have a great selection of very reasonably priced wines, and discounts if you purchase 6 or more. Good luck with your search!

Bottles and Cases in Huntington has bottles of red or white that are 3 for $10. That's what we used for our favors (and they gave us a small discount off of that price because we bought so much of it - 14 cases).
Yes traders only sells the wine in union square at 14th and 3rd, but they said just let them know how much you want and they will have it all ready for you. I think its worth the trip to the city, we are probably going to use it for our favors.
I would take the trip to the city you can probably purchase them all the same day. they keep alot in stock.

We gave trader joe's wine as our favors and went to the city to get them. It wasn't that bad at all, we went in and paid for them all, then pulled the car right in front, and the store employees brought all the cases out on hand trucks for us.
