Anyone a fan of the show? I love it...I can't get enough! Who saw the ugly foot picture this weekend? UGLY! But I loved what Gen did for the entertainment unit..I think I might have FH try and build me one.
When we move I am so gonna make friends with my neighbors and get on the show But I want vern to do my room and I want Frank nowhere near it!! (I don't like all the painting he does)

I too an such a huge fan of that show. I would be so afraid for Doug or Hildie to do my room. I think Vern is the best. Frank is great for rec rooms or kids rooms. I also miss Lori, she was great too. I know she was pregnant, but I have not heard anything on if she had the baby, what she had or if she will be coming back. Anyone hear anything.

Love that show too. I thought the foot thing was funny and not bad since they can remove it easily.
I wouldnt let anyone BUT Vern touch my house although he is a little too 'Ikea' for me...the rest are entertaining to watch :D

My husband & I are big fans of this show & have watched since the inception (before Paige!)- my faves are Vern and Jen, I also miss Laurie - she had great style. Doug is a hit and miss in my opinion - sometimes he does great work, other times just plain weird.
My least faves are Frank & Hildy. I dont care for the new black woman's designs on this season- cant remember her name.... Did anyone see the Tiffany-inspired room that Hildy did - with the graffiti! Awful, I think I would cry.....she is too out there.

Does anyone remember the lamp lady? Thankfully she is no longer on the show but she would literally destory every room and add the most hideous lamp ever created using junk. I later found out that she is a lamp designer (not interior decorator) and they just threw her in the mix.

I am totally addicted, but I think now it is getting to the point where some of the designers (like DOUG!) does things just to push the envelope and **** people off.

I love this show and watch when I can. My favorites are Vern and Laurie. Frank's rooms usually end up looking good, but his style is not mine. I can't stand Hildy. Doug's rooms are usually out there and I think he uses the 'you know what you are getting into by being on the show' excuse too often.

I am a huge fan too! I did NOT like that foot either! And that woman who was working with Hildy, what was her problem? Not only did I not like the fact that she persisted on not doing anything to the rug, her attitude just stunk! She had no personality. So dry and blah.

I am addicted to Trading Spaces---did anyone watch it last weekend when they had all the episodes where the people HATED the rooms? ONe woman left in tears. Lol, I would love for someone to makeover my kitchen, anyone plan on moving to Setauket soon to be myneighbor?!

I live in the setauket area! I would love to have someone re-do a room for me! We have been remodeling our outdated house sice we moved into it in July! Let me know when you move into our neighborhood. Hey, you never know!

I love that show. That foot and those flowers that Doug did cracked me up. I dont know he ever thought they would get other stencil made in time. I think he was still in Brazil for that one. You know that room was being repainted.
I dont think I could ever turn over a room in my house to be redone like that. Well, maybe the basement. But I would love to do someone elses.

LOVE THE SHOW!!! Hate Doug!!! HE has the WORST attitude!! He's so nasty & rarely helps!! (sad that HE's the one from NY) I love Geneive & Vern!! Hildy has a 'tude as well!! Frank is just a country bumpkin!! I like him though! My Fi swears that they do it all in one day. If you notice they were the same clothes on both days! Can I tell you that I caught the one w/ the foot at the end. And I thought the origional photo of the room was the remade version. I almost choked when I saw what they did to the room!!

In all fairness to Doug, he has done some very nice rooms-- off the top of my head- the kitchen in Maine, the bedroom on one of the last ones, and the white-WO! room. He is definitely a moody designer, but he has alot of credentials! He gets ratings because he is the designer you love to hate!

LOVE this show!!! I am glued to the couch on Sat from 8-1 in the morning (yes, I watch it twice)!! I HATE Doug -- did you see the ones where he left and wouldn't come back? Can you say arrogant SOB???? I love Vern, Laurie, Geneive (sp?) and Frank. Hildy is another one with a major 'tude'. Even though I love the show, I don't know if I would let them do any room in my house! They have some wacked out taste sometimes!
As for the foot picture, I TOTALLY skeeve feet, so I was skeeving that whole thing, especially since IT WAS DOUG'S!!! DIS-GUS-TING!!!!!

IrishTracy-I read somewhere once that they wear the same clothes on both days for editing purposes. Sometimes they need to show things out of sequence so by wearing the same clothes you don't notice this.

My Fi and I love that show! And I loved the marathon of people who hated their rooms.
What were these designers thinking when they: Put straw on the walls(Hildy) Put moss on the walls (Gen) Use Black/Grey/Dirt Brown all over (Doug/Hildy) Block out every drop of Natural Sunlight (Doug/Hildy) Take down ceiling fans when people live in the south and don't have A/C!!! (Laurie/Hildy/Doug)
I Love Vern. I wish he could come to my house! I would not let Hildy or Doug within a mile of my house!!! Yuck!
