I hate most rooms they do so I'd love to see people actually say it

So...I saw the first 2 shows tonight. What did ya's think?

I hardly ever like Laurie's room. Was she the one that once did a plaster cast of one of the husbands? That room I liked. But I think she can be too dramatic (drama queen) most of the times and she almost always goes over budget. She wouldn't find a deal if it was right in front of her face!!

My FH said 'she must live in a brown house'. And at the end.....she was being interviewed in her BROWN ROOM! LOL

The 2nd show......now what the hell is wrong with Doug? Can he be any more rude? OK so I know you need to have an OPEN MIND coming on this show. But why do some of the designers have to have such tunnel vision? Why do they buy paint and draw up designs before they know what the couple that owns the house likes or dislikes? The fireplace couple could have said 'don't do anything with fireplace' instead of 'no paint'. But the interview with Doug at the end....he's such a b.s.'er. He acted like he didn't know why she was so upset. His room was a big change from what they had in there. It was nice - the brown was a bit too dark for my tastes but actually the facade wasn't too bad. But it was very sleek and they were not that type of people. You could just tell! A designer needs to take into consideration the people they are dealing with and not come in with one idea in mind and be offended when they're told 'that's really nice but not going to work HERE'.
And the best was 'I don't decorate barns'. Well. You need to not be on a TV show where you can't choose your houses/couples. You need to be somewhere where people like sleek designing.
I like what they did after Doug's debacle. I loved the maroon paint!

Oh and I loved Frank. HE's so much fun! Sometimes a bit too quirky but he's just too sweet to mind it.

And why oh why are they giving Doug (is that Doug?) and BrownLaurie the $100,000 show??
Give it to Vern and Gen - I havne't seen them in ages!!

Am I the only one who expected something different from this 3 hour show?!?!?! I thought it was going to be 3 hours of going back to various homes and speaking to those who hated what was done - what they did to change it, if they die....etc.

I feel duped! LOL

The $100k show is on Sunday for 2 hours. I wish it was Vern and Edward - I love what those 2 do most of the time. But I cannot wait to see the fabric Laurie chooses with that budget!

I thought they were going to be doing a whole show people who hated their rooms. I did not think they were going to show all the episodes.

And I agree with Jen, there are not many rooms that I like when they do this show.

Can they use anything else but primary yellow, brown and orange?? I would beg for them to use those colors so they would do they oppostie. It seems that what you want they run away from.

I'm sure Laurie will STILL go over budget on the $100G show!!! LOL

I cannot believe that you had to sit thorugh a whole TS episode and then see 5 minutes of the designers thoughts on the room and 2 minutes of the people saying if they did or did not change the room. I watched the last 12 minutes of the first one and the beginning of the second one...praying that the Show that was supposed to be on, would be on. I wasnt planning to sit through 3 hours of trading spaces episodes that I already saw before....when I could be watching Third watch at 10pm...which was awesome.

The defenitly portrayed this show as being something enitrely different than what was on tv tonight.

Danielle&Scott - I am really bored tonight so I emailed TLC to let them know that their ads were misleading and that I felt like I was tricked into watching re-runs.
