I am confused as to why she is confused about Jay spending so much money on stuff they don't need.
All she did was rub his nose in her possessions. She said that the Tavern on the Green was not that great. She said that her beach house was worth $3 Million. So, WHY IN THE WORLD would this guy think that they actually needed the money for bills?

That women was an arse I can't beleive the way she screamed all the Time I loved Jay he had such a huge heart, isn't she the least bit curious as to why her children had s uch a great connection with a complete stranger... they felt his hige heart & warmth,

all i have to say is growing up in a upper middle class area..the five towns....jewish , that is what people think we are like from ny....well you know it's true.it took me 12 years of not living in ny to realize that new yorkers are like that.....they talk fast, drive faster and when you are a middle class family you tend to think like she does.....did you here what she said ...'call the lawyer'.you have got to be kidding me........50,000 for them is not the end of the world.so please take the free money and have fun with what ever jay wants you todo with it.......

First things first --- I LOVED Jay. He was so cute. I loved that he had never been to the city before and was so gracious. I feel so sorry for him for having to deal with that witchy, disgusting, miserable woman, and I hope people don't associate her personality with NY. Her husband was sweaty and disgusting also, but not nearly as bad as her. It's sad how focused on money the wife was, and I'm happy Jay distributed the $ as he did.
Did anyone notice how quiet Jay's wife was though? I thought it was because she was in a strange situation, but neither she nor Jay's chidren even mumbled a hello or welcome back to him. She seemed a little off/depressed to me.

I loved Jay also. He seemed like a genuinely nice person. And the NY kids seemed to respect and listen to him. The NY wife was fairly nice but a little neurotic. The NYers seemed like they made an effort.
Now - down to Atlanta. Man were those children a nightmare. Talk about terrors. The mother (who was a DUD lol) said that they will do what they want blah blah Yeah thats bc you don't discipline them! Jeez. I was laughing at the NY father. He was so 'New York'. The country mom seemed ungrateful and unwilling to try anything new.

Did you notice how immature she acted in the nicer restaurant?? She never had PORK CHOPS?? 'Hows that going to taste'? She was behaving like such a child. I felt bad for the NY dad. Does the country mom let her kids scream all day long? Does she do anything to discipline them? Why was the NY dad having to take the toy (or whatever it was) away in the car, and the mom just sat there!

That woman was giving ME anxiety!!! She was WAY too controlling and over the top. Jay was so nice and the NY kids were very nice too.
I cant believe the nerve of her with the get the lawyer on the phone bullcrap!!!

Yeah, meanwhile, HE was eating catfish (the WHOLE catfish) without complaining. I think she felt like he looked down on her, and that's why she was playing up the, 'I like my life the way it is' thing. Because in the beginning both she and Jay mentioned how they feared that the NY'ers would think they were poor hicks. Those GA kids WERE terrors, and the dad said he thought she was holding back because he was there, but I don't think those kids get discipline at all. Did you notice how the wife had to do everything in her power to not say the word FUC* when she was talking to the camera?
