A lot of wedding cakes I'm looking at seem to be too crazy- a lot going on, tons of flowers and modern designs. FI and I want something very old fashioned and traditional--- remember the way our parents had it? High white tiered cake with some flowers with the little poles (don't know what they are called) betweeen the layers. That will be the one things that is traditional at the wedding. Does anyone know a good bakery that can do this?

Ask your reception site

I agree, your reception site would know the best people in your area. I was going to suggest someone in Babylon, but from your profile, I see that's way too far!!!!

Re: Traditional Wedding Cakes
Here is a pic of our traditional cake. We had it stacked, but you could have got the poles.
I had a very simple square tiered cake but its not quite as vintage as the seperated tiers. Any baker can do this - its still quite popular for other occasions.

I want a more traditional cake too. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
