Re: Traditions
I am trying to keep things fairly traditional....the major tradition we are breaking is that we will be seeing each other before the ceremony in order to get pics out of the way..

Re: Traditions
Traditions we're keeping so far.. having my father walk me down the aisle and wearing a blusher for him to remove. umm i cant think of anything else lol
traditions we are breaking..not getting married in a church, not walking down the aisle to traditional music, seeing eachother before the ceremony, probably not wearing white wedding shoes, most likely adding color to our wedding cake, not doing a garter toss

Re: Traditions
I think we are following all traditions except that we will not be getting married in a church.

Re: Traditions
for Jackie's sake... it's a good thing we arent doing the garter toss. because i had intentions of going under her dress to get it... and start pulling props from inside my tux jackie. like a rubber chicken... handcuffs... etc

LOL that would be great...
Traditions we are breaking:
No garter or bok toss Color on the cake My dress will probably be ivory and not BLINDING SNOW WHITE because I am wicked pale and it'll just look horrible on me.
Traditions we are keeping:
church wedding we will not see each other before the wedding something old, something borrowed, etc.

Re: Traditions
Me and him have not talked about breaking traditions too much but I know that I am not having my Dad walk me down the aisle due to the fact that we are not the best of friends, instead, my uncle is walking me. I don't think he will want to toss the garter, he is SOOO shy. Also, no unity candle

Re: Traditions
i have been to so many weddings... and everyone does so much different stuff that i am not sure what is considered tradition anymore. lol.
i know it's tradition to NOT see each other before the ceremony... but more and more people are doing it. at first i was against it, but then when you think about the amount of money you are paying for this day... i would rather enjoy it. not miss my cocktail hour because i have to take pics. i would rather take the pics before handand not miss anything
but at the same time... everyone is different

Re: Traditions
Traditions we are breaking will be no blusher for me just a veil, I will probably only have my mom walk me down the aisle, my dress will definitely not be pure white, I plan to have colored flowers on the cake, and I will probably have a mother daughter dance in place of the father daughter dance. Otherwise everything else is traditional, lol.

Re: Traditions
keeping most traditions- although i don't know if we will be doing the boq/garter toss yet. also we will probably go to our Cocktail hour (as opposed to making the traditional grand entrance), also will most likely pick an ivory dress
