Train or no train? Please help!

Train or no train? Please help!

My gown has a fitted bodice with a drop waist and a full a-line skirt. My veil (matching to the gown) is very long and spreads out like a train and has embroidery on the end. I ordered the gown without a train (since that is how the sample was) but now i am having second thoughts and thinking i should get a train...what are the pros/cons? What should i do?
THANKS ALOT

Also, can you post pics of your gown with train or without train? I would like to see how pictures from the back look of both... thanks again

I'd go with no train, just as you ordered. Trust your initial gut feeling.

PROs to not having a train:

1. your beautiful veil will be fully seen by all
2. no need to deal with a bustle
3. your gown will be much lighter - makes for more dancing!
4. it was your first instinct. women have incredible intuition.... if your gut told you no train, then you should stick to that.

congrats on finding a dress! i would love to see pics of it (and your veil which sounds absolutely gorgeous)!

I'm not having a train either. I think it will be much more comfy for me and I love the way my dress looks without a bustle.

I say go with your first instinct. You loved your dress without the train and your veil sounds beautiful!!!

I didn't want a train...but the dress I bought...had one...so I told them to bustle it...so it looked like it didn't have a train...they said...you really should just cut it off!!

well I did...and LOVED it!!! of course I was nervous...but the dress was so light...and fitted into our wedding theme...in a garden and on the beach, etc...

from bustling my sisters wedding gown...I was so happy that I cut mine...b/c it was so heavy!!!!

here are the best pics I can find of minw:

I could go on and on...

I think it will look beautiful without a train because then you can see the detail on your veil. Another pro is that you will be able to move around more freely. I agree that you should trust your first instinct!

Thanks for the info Yabbobay. My dress has a train and I figured I would just bustle it the whole day, but that's pretty silly. I think I'm going to tell them to chop it off!
