Training question

Ok, I hired a personal trainer to whip me into shape but I can only meet with her once a week. Is this a proper schedule to target everything I need to be doing????

Monday - legs, abs, 30 min. cardio
Tuesday - arms - 30 min cardio
Wednesday - abs, cardio 45 minutes
THurs. off
Friday - legs, arms, 30 min cardio

I need to drop another 5-7 pounds and tone up. Wedding is November 8th and I'm running out of time.

Any input is much appreciated.

Re: Training question

Don't forget about your chest and back and shoulders. When you say 'arms' are you referring to biceps and triceps and are those body parts being done together or seperately. I personally like to combine chest and tri's for one day and back and biceps another day, but that's just me

Re: Training question

This looks fine, I'd up my cardio a bit and make sure it's a real workout if you're only doing 30 minutes (that means you shouldn't be able to hold a conversation, although you should be able to speak). Also, stretching should be in there somewhere.

Re: Training question

Since your are not my client and I do not know your actual ratio of fat to muscle, I am only guess.
I would preferr to see you up your cardio as well, 30 should be a minimum. If you could do 45, 4-6 days per week even better.

Also if you could be more specific as far as Arms, legs. You want to do EVERY muscle 2-3 times per week, resting at least 24 hours inbetwen for repair and recovery.

SO that means:
biceps, triceps, rotator cuff of your shoulders (front/anterior, sides/lateral, back/posterior), trapezoids, back upper/lower, chest presses/flyes.

Legs: quads, outer thigh, inner thigh, gluts, hamstrings, calfs.

Abs - obliques/sides, upper reagion, lower region.

make sense. Also make sure your trainer took measurements of before/after to track that you made progress from the sessions.

Re: Training question

I train every body part once a week. I guess it depends on the trainer, and how your body reacts.
