I finally agreed to have my FH's 2 nieces and nephew in the wedding party (Jr. BM, FG, and RB). I originally wanted an adult only reception, but that didn't work out.
Anyway, we booked our limos and we are riding with the BP, and we got a limo for our folks to share. We told my BIL, and his SIL that they could ride in the limo with our parents, but the kids couldn't. (My sister and his brother are both in the BP). My FSIL's whole family will be at our wedding to watch the kids while we are taking pictures on the beach, and other locations. I told them that that they could meet us at the catering hall a little early to take pictures then when the rest of the family is meeting us. Now my FMIL thinks I don't want the kids in the wedding, and whatnot.
I just don't want to be around 3 crazy kids all afternoon, or have to worry about them at the beach. Plus I think my parents deserve to relax that day, and don't need to be riding around with them. Plus my future in laws are giving us no money for the wedding, so I figure I don't owe them a seperate limo for their family. I can't afford it.
I figure it's my day and that I can do what I want, but I just wanted some opinions to make sure that I'm not being unreasonable.
Thanks

Do what`s best for you
It`s hard to give opinions on such topics, because I think a lot depends on each individual circumstance.
In our situation, we didn`t book a limo for the parents. They didn`t want us spending the extra money, and they also wanted to be able to be with other family members who either don`t drive, or were in from out of town.
My niece and nephew were part of the wedding party. She was 4 1/2 and he was 1 1/2. We had them ride in the limo with the party, and my niece truly got a kick out of it. She was so looking forward to it, and it made her feel so special to be among the group. Both were very well behaved and I`m glad we were able to include them in the cars. Just so you know, their mother, my sister-in-law, was my Matron of Honor, and we also had my brother, their father (who did a reading for us), ride from the church to the reception in that limo.

Transporting Kids...
We have a ring bearer and flower girl that will not be coming in the limo with us. For starters, they'd need car seats cause they're so young.
They'll be in all the pictures we take at the church, but I don't need them to be in every picture. They'll hang out with their dad and show up at the cocktail hour.
Fortunately, I think their mom (my FI's sister) would rather not have to worry about them all day. This way she can relax too. Plus its a long time for them to behave and look neat (I've got 3 hours inbetween the church & reception.
I don't think you're being unreasonable at all.
