To all the 2011 brides that did a trash the dress photo shoot..Did you use your wedding gown or did you get a cheaper dress just for the shoot? I can't bear the thought of trashing my gown, but I would love to do a trash the dress shoot.

Re: Trash the dress
i didn't do a TTD, but if i did, i would have used my own dress, but i know some girls went to David's Bridal and bought one of their cheaper dresses, like when they have a $99 dress sale

Re: Trash the dress
you can just 'sass the dress' Not necessarily do things to trash it. Just take pics in places you wouldnt have on your wedding for fear of getting dirty... my dress was never trashed it was just I didnt worry about dragging it through the grass and dirt and water etc....

Used my dress --- it got ripped on the bottom especially and it has dirt all over it. I should probably clean it...it's been like 2 months. oops!

Re: Trash the dress
I took part in a group Trash The Dress shoot earlier this year. Most of us bought a cheap eBay or secondhand gown, but a couple of the girls used their actual dress.
You can see some of the shots from the shoot at SaySo Weddings. We had girls in the ocean, having a cake fight and a paint fight as well!
One of the girls who took part in the paint fight wore her actual dress and had it framed afterwards. It's now hanging on her wall and it looks fantastic!

Re: Trash the dress
I used my dress and it wasn't damaged i went in the ocean, fully submerged it! and rolled around in the sand the bottom is a little dirty but no biggie
I think you should use your own dress, as long as youre not pouring paint or wine or sauce on it! lol
