Travel Agent

Any vacation I have gone on I have booked online myslef, never used a travel agent. Has anyone used Liberty Travel or any other travel agent that hey would recommend? Also is there a separate charge and if so how much for using the travel agent? Thanks

I used Liberty travel like 2 years ago and they were fantastic and there with you to provide any answers you may have even last minute. I don't even remember a charge. If i did i know it couldn't be alot because i am the cheapest person.

Re: Travel Agent

It seems like doing it yourself would be much cheaper, you just have to price it out and compare.

I am going to check a travel agent. Most will give you a quote, which you can compare to your own online research. They also have access to discount codes that you may not. I think it could be worth it to check one out.

Hey Danielle...
One of the moms of a kid in Jillie's class is a travel agent. She brought me home all kinds of books for Hawaii...I'm sure she'll give me a good deal.

Re: Travel Agent

Ok girls, don't get mad but I'm gonna do a lil plug-in here. My aunt runs her own travel agency called Sea, Cruise, and Travel II. In the original she had a partner but after the woman left and she did it on her own she had to give it a new name. Anyway, she's going to do all of our HM planning and I'm sure she'd love some new customers. If you're interested FM me and I'll give you her info. Just remember whatever you do, wherever you go make sure they know you're on your HM and you'll get deals.

Re: Travel Agent

As far as I know when you book w/ a travel agent, you don't pay them, they get $ from your packages from the company or something? The one time I used a travel agent for disney I didn't have to pay anything, and it was no more expensive than if I had booked it, but I think she got a percentage from disney

Good question, Im not sure about agents either. I think we might just book the thing on our own. I heard that some travel agents can make the trip more expensive. But I also heard that they can get you free stuff. We will have to shop around

Re: Travel Agent

Just want to let you know that my mom books every other year with Liberty Travel for our trip to Disney and I believe if you want airline tickets printed out they charge I think it's $20 a piece for them.

Re: Travel Agent

I saw Lulu from theLiberty Travel in Commack, she was very helpful. We will probably start booking the honeymoon with her, I don't want to do it myself because we are doing two different destinations and the flights and such would be a pain in the butt to coordinate online. She said there is no charge for booking through atravel agent, theres a big plus!
