Re: Travel Agent?

I say they are good because they will book everything you need and help you find what your looking for....PLUS if you find something you are dead set on but find it through a site like expedia for less, they will match the price you find online!! so you really can't beat it i think.......I worked with Liberty Travel and they were great.......i haven't booked the honeymoon yet though......

i think i am going to speak with a travel agent and also look on my own and see what i think is a better deal.

Re: Travel Agent?

I really want to book HM with a travel agent. I feel like they will pinpoint exactly what I want my HM to be and I won't have to worry as much as I would if I planned it myself.

I'm pretty sure FH and I will use a travel agent. We are planning on Australia for our HM and have no idea where to start!

most of the time i book trips myself...but since this is a pretty extensive trip, i would feel more comfortable having a travel agent plan it.

Re: Travel Agent?

We just booked Sandal's for our honeymoon ourselves, but i plan on going to a travel agent for the airfare. I have not the slightest idea about airlines and their flights, i just want the best flight with the least layover's possible and it seems a travel agent can help me best with that...

another pro with the travel agent is god forbid something goes wrong with your trip (hotel, flight related) atleast you can call up the travel agent and talk with a person.....i would get nervous if i book online and then i need to talk to someone......just a thought

Re: Travel Agent?

I don't think I'll use one, but I haven't really put much thought into it yet. I guess it depends on where we choose to go!

Re: Travel Agent?

I'm thinking no... just because we're doing a cruise and I've booked many cruises in the past with no problem. However, if you don't know where to start and don't feel comfortable booking online yourself.. I say check em out. I'm sure there's no obligation just to ask around for pricing.

Re: Travel Agent?

I am biased because I am a travel agent.. so do I think its a good idea to go thru one I would say YES!!!! :) Its very helpful and they do all the work for you.. we know a lot more and can guide you in the right direction.. I help my friends with travel all the time and even though i charge service fees they still would rather go thru me cause its a lot easier then hasseling themselves. unfortuantely I dont do much leisure travel or else I would tell u all to use me..lol.. but I unfortuantely am strictly Ent travel.. I can point u in the right direction though.. :) hope this help!!

Re: Travel Agent?

I just think it can make your life easier, since you have so much going on. Esp. if you are traveling to South Pacific or pretty far away. Its always good to be able to contact a real person who is familiar with your itinerary. I always book my own vacations plans...unless its specialized in any way. Honeymoons are special...treat yourself!
