I was talking to a friend about honeymoons and it got me thinking... How does the TA charge you for booking your honeymoon? Do you pay her a flat fee, a percentage, or does the hotel pay her for putting you there? TIA!

Re: Travel agents
We did not pay ours for anything. She gets commission based on what she books. We got such a better price through ours bc they have contracts with negotiated prices for hotels, etc.

Re: Travel agents
im a travel agent - and basically the fee is already in the price.... so the hotels/airlines pay the agent the fee, not you!
unlessss you have an agent that isn't honest!

Re: Travel agents
i didn't pay the travel agency anything more than what it actually cost. i think the hotels pay them for using their services
