Do you think that making my guest travel from the church in Manhattan for the ceremony to Leonards of Great Neck to the reception is too long? Plus they are going to have 2 hours in between! People keep complaining and its starting to make me sick because I don't think its that bad? Its like when I go to peoples weddings I dont complain about a thing, but when its time for mines people have something to say.

Re: Travel time from wedding to reception
honestly, you should expect that a lot of people wont go to the church then i dont know what day of the week or what time youre getting married, but i would certainly not go during rush hour or a sat. night

I totally understand what youre going through. My ceremony is out in Suffolk County (Bayshore) and the reception is in Westbury, people are already asking me why I couldnt have them in the same place. Its impossible to make your wedding convenient for everyone. If you did, then it wouldnt be your wedding. The people who want to be there will be there, regardless. That's what keeps me sane.

My sentiments exactly!!! One of my moms friends complained about my wedding being on a Thursday and told me I should have it on a Friday because then she KNOWS she can attend...I told her I'd switch the date if she paid for it...no more complaints out of her.
