I just got off the phone with Travel Tom and I think that we are going to book our honeymoon to Excellence Playa Mujeres. Thanks, MrsDtoBe09! I told him that you recommended me.
So I called American Express travel to verify that he works for them and they said that there was no way they could search that. Have any of you used him and verified that he does indeed work for American Express Travel?
I am being very cautious because it's a lot of money and I just want to triple check so that I am sure. Please let me know if you have used him and if you verified he works for American Express. Thanks so much ladies!

I used him to book a surprise Cancun getaway for FH. Travel Tom was terrific! All of our documents came in an American Express envelope in an American Express travel document wallet (nice touch!). We got an American Express booklet with the details of our whole trip, including coupons that could be redeemed if we used our AmEx card. Our trip was excellent and we got a good deal. HTH.

Tom definately worked for American Express. He was referred to me by another LIW bride Hannahshim. After we made our last payment Tom sent us an Amex binder with information and plane tickets. When we arrive at Riviera Maya we were greeted by an American Express employee at the airport. He arranged for a van to take us to our resort. There is also an Amex rep at our resort. We booked all of our excursions through Amex. Check out my review. Travel Tom is the best!

Same for us, and we went to Excellence Punta Cana last year. He's entirely legit. There are thousands of Amex Travel agents across the country. Some work in storefront travel agencies, others are independent, like Tom. I know what you mean, but trust us, he's legit.

I used him and I have nothing but awesome things to say!!!
When I got my travel packet about 2 weeks before the honeymoon everything was from American Express and totally legit. He was always reachable (i emailed him from the honeymoon b/c i had a question about an outside tour that we were doing and he got beack to me within an hour!).
I highly, highly, highly recommend him.

Lots of girls on here used him. I talked to him a few times and was ready to book with him -- only reason I didn't was because of my job I was able to get a little bit of a better rate but I had to book directly (and I only got what I did because of connections not because he wasn't getting a great deal!)
